Job Description
  1. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions including purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
  2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, bill payments, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and timely collection of receivables.
  3. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  4. Budget Management: Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budgets. Provide support in budget planning and forecasting activities.
  5. Financial Reporting: Prepare various financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Generate financial statements for management review and decision-making.
  6. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns. Coordinate with external tax advisors as necessary.
  7. Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support as required.
  8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in financial operations. Implement best practices to streamline accounting processes.
  9. Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for purchases and contracts.
  10. Ad Hoc Financial Tasks: Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Job Specification

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience of 2 years as an Accounts Officer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and tax compliance is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Nepalese tax laws and regulations is an advantage.
