As a CPT Coder at Simjung, you will play a key role in assisting with the accurate assignment of CPT codes, especially for telehealth services. This position will require you to be well-versed in time-based coding for virtual consultations and ensure that all coding is compliant with the latest industry standards. You will work closely with the medical team to ensure seamless coding of services, helping to drive successful claims submissions and reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

• CPT Coding for Telehealth: Accurately assign CPT codes for telehealth services based on time-based criteria, ensuring compliance with industry standards and payer requirements.
• Collaboration: Work with the PCP's medical team to review patient encounter notes and documentation to assign appropriate codes.
• Code Review and Quality Control: Ensure all coding is performed with high attention to detail and in compliance with HIPAA regulations, payer guidelines, and current coding practices.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on CPT code changes, telehealth-specific coding requirements, and other relevant updates in the medical coding field.

Assistance in Claims Submission: Support the claims submission process by providing clear and accurate coding details for claims preparation.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in CPT coding, with a focus on telehealth services is a plus.
• Knowledge of Coding Systems: Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy in coding and claims submissions.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with the medical team and other departments to clarify coding and documentation.

Familiarity with EHR/Practice Management Software: Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and claims submission software is a plus.
