Job Description
- Lead and supervise a team of fiber optic technicians.
- Perform advanced fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting in field and customer place.
- Ensure the fiber optics network is being maintain accurately in google map or any other mapping software as assigned by the company.
- Schedule and assign work to team members based on priority and skill level.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to ensure high performance and skill development.
- Plan and oversee fiber optic installation and maintenance projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to align project objectives and timelines.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices for fiber optic installation and maintenance.
- Utilize various testing equipment such as OTDRs, power meters, and fusion splicers.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
- Address and resolve technical issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain inventory of fiber optic tools, equipment, and materials, ensure proper maintenance.
- Manage the procurement of necessary supplies and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project documentation, fiber optic test results, and maintenance logs.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress, team performance, and technical issues and communicate effectively with management and stakeholders through regular updates and reports.
- Interact with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical support.
- Address customer concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery.
Job Specification
- Proven experience as a senior fiber optic technician or in a similar role with team leadership responsibilities.
- Advanced expertise in fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong capabilities in planning, overseeing fiber optic projects, and ensuring timely, within-scope, and budget-compliant completion.
- Skilled with Google Sheets, Google Maps.
- Excellent leadership skills for supervising and mentoring a team.
- Attention to detail for conducting quality control inspections, enforcing safety protocols, and adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
- Strong ability to understand customer requirements, provide technical support, and ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
