Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our team at Xavier International College in Kalopul,  Kathmandu. The Receptionist will be an important point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, providing a warm welcome and ensuring smooth and efficient front desk operations.

  • Greet and welcome students, parents, staff, and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, taking and delivering messages as necessary.
  • Manage the front desk by keeping it tidy, organized, and presentable.
  • Handle student and visitor inquiries in person and over the phone.
  • Provide accurate information about the school/college and direct visitors to the appropriate person or department.
  • Assist with the distribution of mail and other communications to staff and students.
  • Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor badges as required.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and visitors to address their needs and concerns
  • Ensure all communications are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with the enrollment and registration process for new students.
  • Maintain and update student records and databases.
  • Provide support during school events, meetings, and functions.
  • ●Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by the Principal.
Job Specification
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration or related fields are a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.

Skills:

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in both Nepali and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using office equipment (e.g., computer, printer, telephone) and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
