- Break down the term's work into learning objectives that are to be achieved, The Scheme of work will present the planned learning objectives staggered week by week for the whole term
- Ensure that revision and assessment strategies are also included in the Schemes of work.
Assessment and Evaluation
- Ensure at the very beginning of the term that students are informed of work that has been planned for the term. Consultation with students will prove to be particularly important when planning any revision scheme prior to examinations.
- Teach according to the educational needs of the students
- Set and correct class work and homework in such a way as to encourage independent learning. Such work must be suited to the capabilities of the students.
- Assess the performance of students record their difficulties and weaknesses and submit a subject report.
- Provide guidance and advice to students on subject matter
- Maintain regular communication
- Act as role models to students in attitude, performance and dress code.
- Set a number of assessments as already determined, which are meant to support learning and bring about an improvement in standards
- Keep records of all continuous assessments held
- Use the assessment results to provide learning support and enhance performance
- Carry out a diagnosis of learning difficulties of students
- Give follow-up work in classes where students have failed to reach the accepted benchmark of performance
- Plan and apply remedial teaching before every time
- Prepare test papers and marking schemes
- Prepare evaluation reports to highlight the difficulties and weaknesses of students each test and at end of the term
- Correction of test paper, assessments, practical and support for result preparation.
